>Great day at work then boredom..and at the same time, wonderful weather

Wish I had another 1-2 hr to get to the snow today and back..would have been fantastic! But still get dark soon enough to preclude after-work visits…hope this will improve a lot after starting DST next weekend!

Glad to find that the Gov of Wisconsin seems to be losing that union busting fight. I hope it sends him to a position more fitting his attitudes, such as minimum-wage security guard.

Skype’s a lot of fun, especially these days when phone service can be expensive-

Ordered CONAN: What is best in Life? shirt! and had a cold Michelob Ultra Amber…. made some good test 8×10 prints for next week. Try to get in a walk this evening and enjoy the popcorn.

Nice drive back to Visalia, then errands, remembering too late that there’s no PC port on the SB-700 flash to allow PW’s within Apollo softbox! I will do some video editing from Emerald’s shoot and start plans for the photo weekend coming up in LA. See a film this evening, check Skype.

Try to find Tim Wise’s book, WHITE LIKE ME… sounds interesting re online summary. Is there a JetBoil Sumo pot out there?

Warm day for March ,unless you’re on Venus….I was lucky to find good snow in the afternoon after a good photo shoot, but I’ve been searching for it around here for over 25 years so I better be able to locate it!

The snow saw worked really well in this easier to use snow than last trip and the new thermoregulator JetBoil stove melted snow with ease, smaller and lighter than prior version.

Will get to HDR asap and then prints and online images, from Emerald’s modeling. Start preps for next weekend with the all-day shoot and the Pasadena  ProPhoto Expo on Sunday…

Fine day at work, then wonderful relaxing evening in Fresno starting by finding the new Jetboil Sol at REI, my rebate will be over $300 this year, and getting the new pinapple flavor in energy gel…also got the new GriGri2.

After hanging out on Blackstone St and talking with Taylor, headed back- now watching Rachel Maddow’s program and may actually eat something for dinner at 9:30 PM

Perhaps I’ll head back to Fresno tomorrow after work- it was that much fun.

Finally added video bank to my D3s and D300s cameras with settings based on recommendations (for
Canon) by Shane Hurlbut, ASC. Plan to experiment with Kelvin WB, manual focus, Adobe RGB color space and see how I like the results…

Tired today since I slept very little last night- just couldn’t relax, probably too rested.

The ‘intl’ phone at Whittendale didn’t function tonight, unfortunately…why???

Get the chart review papers to hosp person to complete my reappt asap (will I even need it?) and bring video lights up here along with remote gear this weekend.

Will try HDR with the shots taken at 400mm with the 200-400 f/4 of the High Sierra from General’s Hwy.. first tests with new Nikon flash SB-700 here in the studio apt. Nice to think that the days keep getting longer and DST approaches…

It was so good to play with Kendell last night! and to hang around with Grant and Galen- I had an excellent weekend.

>A beautiful,boring day

Shot at the studio as usual, boring. Drove around the snow covered southland looking for a convenient place to practice with shelters, found yet another parking lot in the street heading up to Mt Baldy and turned around. Went to B/N searching for the book TEAR DOWN THIS MYTH- they’re all out of this text. Called to the Carib’ nd told the  signal was lousy… bought Nikon SB-700 flash from Sal and managed to get into another political fray over unions….

Galen and I are sitting at the table with notebooks. I can’t locate the New-matic crampons to go with my red alpine boots?? Other than that, it’s been boring. But I have been able to rest.

Maybe extending my MKR contract? Fred Lau decided to return to LA….so we’ll see.

Terrible weather returning to so CA in a storm, but at least I got here. The world is morphing in front of my eyes.

Finally caught the movie, eating a teriyaki burger and my free soda from the theater.. it was fun. Found an international-ready phone at the Rite-Aid on Whittendale.  Good day at the imaging center. At least the Wisconsin workers are still in the fight….

The CR-V is pretty loaded for the trip tomorrow. Well, February is almost over- keep plugging.
